In a life-threatening emergency, call 911, then tell a Ranger or MEATS so they can guide the ambulance in.
For anything else, MEATS, Rangers or Sanctuary are on site at the event. Nat 20 Map is not an emergency service.
Frequently asked questions
How do I join or make a crew?
Go to the Crew tab. Enter a friend’s crew code and tap Join, or tap Make a new code to start one. Share your code with friends so they can join you.
How do I invite someone with a QR code or link?
In the Crew tab, show your crew’s QR code so a friend can scan it, or use the share button to send a link with your code. Opening the link on their phone opens Nat 20 Map, ready to join your crew.
How do I share my location with my crew?
Turn on “Share my location” in the Crew tab. The app sends your spot to your crew only while this is on, and turning it off clears it.
Why isn’t a friend showing up on the map?
Check that they have joined the same crew code and turned on “Share my location.” Friends fade out and show a last seen time when they stop sharing or lose a connection, and disappear after 24 hours.
Any battery tips?
Turn on “Low power” sharing in the Crew tab. It updates your spot less often to save battery. Turning off guide mode and closing the app when you are not using it also helps.
Does Nat 20 Map work offline?
Yes. The map, guide, schedule, search, guide mode, adventure log, quests, and dice all work with no connection. Only iCloud crew sharing, posting and loading new tales, the Hall of Legends, the forecast and live schedule updates need a connection. Crew phones near each other also share directly, with no signal.
How do reminders work?
Tap the bell on any schedule event to get a reminder 15 minutes before it starts. Reminders are local notifications and work even when you are offline.
What does the Apple Watch app do?
The watch app guides you with its own GPS and compass and shows nearby places and what’s coming up next, even when your phone is out of reach. Your starred places and your crew come from your phone.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings and tap “Delete my data.” This leaves your crew and deletes your crew record from iCloud, removes any Hall of Legends entry, deletes your tales and your reports of tales (from any phone signed in to your iCloud account), and erases your Adventure Log and everything else the app stored on your phone. You can also delete a single tale from its camp: tap “Edit your tale”, then “Delete your tale”.
How do I report someone?
Open their entry in your crew and tap Report. It opens an email to the developer with their crew nickname; add what happened and send it. If your phone can’t send email, write to garrett@productionhousedallas.com. To stop seeing them right away, tap “Hide from my map” on the same card. You can undo it in Settings.
How do I report a tale?
Tap “…” on the tale (or press and hold it) and choose Report, then the reason. The app hides the tale for you at once, and for everyone once your report saves. One report is enough, and nobody has to review it. A report counts when the person filed fewer than 5 in the day before it. Reporting needs an iCloud account; without one, the tale stays hidden for you, your report goes out once you sign in, and the app offers an email to the developer in the meantime. To stop seeing someone’s tales, choose “Hide tales from” in the same menu.
